Shrimp and Broccoli – Honey Garlic – mmm

Shrimp and Broccoli

Shrimp and Broccoli, two of my favorites and an easy dinner to make and enjoy. So I found this amazing recipe that is simply yummy. I love shrimp, honey, garlic and broccoli so its a favorite choice for me. You can also add fried cauliflower rice to it as well ( you can also add spiral zucchini as an option) and its great for keto lovers too. You can also serve it on a bed of sticky rice as well.

This honey garlic shrimp and broccoli is made using only 6 ingredients and is ready in under 10 minutes.

Quick Honey Garlic Shrimp and Broccoli is an easy, quick and healthy solution for dinner. Too often I have had to catch my self from ordering fast food or quick fixes. I like to cook, its the creative side of me and to be honest, I find it relaxing. A nice glass of fine wine and creating and cooking a simple, delicious meal is a great way to spend an evening at home, especially if its followed up with a good movie.

 Ingredients for Shrimp and Broccoli

  • 1 lb. shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup broccoli florets frozen or fresh
  • 1 tablespoon oil

For the Sauce

  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon ginger minced
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce

Instructions

  • Place broccoli florets in a small bowl, fill with a few teaspoons of water and steam in microwave for 2 minutes.
  • Combine the sauce ingredients and divide it into half. Marinate the shrimp with one half of the sauce for 5-10 minutes (or up to 24 hours).
  • Heat a heavy-duty skillet to high heat. Add 1 tablespoon oil to pan then add the marinated shrimp. Sear them on both sides in batches of 2 until browned, about 1 minute per side. Add the broccoli to the pan, drizzle with remaining sauce, and mix well to combine.
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds
  • Serves 4

For the Cauliflower Rice, put one cup or desired amount into a hot frying pan that has been coated in no stick spray or oil – your choice – I use coconut oil. Flatten it out into the pan until brown and flip it. It should be semi crispy when served.

Enjoy this healthy choice, especially when in colder weather we tend to go for heavier foods that are comfort food. Make the most out of heathy choices and above all make sure they taste good – isn’t that what eating delicious food is all about!?!
